Whiskey Tango Fitness
After one workout with Jolene, of Whiskey Tango Fitness, I knew she meant business. When she asked me to redesign her gym’s website for her, I jumped on it. The work she does is really amazing. Seeing the transformations she’s made for her clients, and their lives, is remarkable. Wanting to create a website that potential clients would be drawn to, and current clients could actually utilize, was important. The end result creates a look and feel more in tune with what the gym represents, all while crafting a web presence the client is actually happy to have.
Using large, full screen, parallax scrolling images on the homepage immediately draws the user in, almost shouting the overall tone of the gym. The group of people, color tones, and bold sans serif typefaces help craft the feel the gym preaches, while not adding any extra pressure onto a potential client — which everyone already feels when joining a new gym.
One important element, that the previous site was missing, was an e-commerce component. Having a space for clients to purchase classes, and pay for personal training, is such an important thing for a small business owner. Now the headache of extra bookkeeping can be kept to an online store and a few simple emails.
Working with Jolene to create a website that fully represented her was a joy. Establishing a look and feel, that read for both her and the gym she has worked so hard for, this new web presence is one that she can be proud of for a long time to come.
